Originally was established in 2015 under a name Fukushima Gainax as a managing company to manage a studio and museum in Miharu, Fukushima. On August 9, 2018, it was announced that the Kinoshita Group acquired the company and that the company changed its name to Gaina with its new parent company planning to make it the pillar of its anime production to expand its business. On August 1, 2025, the company changed its name to BENTEN Film after being acquired by AI animation company Creator's X.
